At The Arcadia, we run a series of classes from the first-floor studio space, which take place all-year round. Whether you want to relax and unwind after a hectic week with some yoga, or prefer Pilates, you can do all this and more with our professional tutors.

Classes

Yoga

This popular exercise focuses on three key areas – strength, flexibility and breathing – and involves adopting a series of postures (asanas) to improve both mental and physical wellbeing. Sustained yoga practice can be beneficial to those with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains and depression/stress.

Pilates

Pilates is used to build flexibility, strengthen muscles and align the body, Pilates focuses on developing your core/centre. Improve your general fitness and overall wellbeing by conditioning core postural muscles. This technique helps to improve coordination and balance and can help improve posture and build muscle tone.

Tai Chi

a low-impact exercise, Tai Chai is an ancient Chinese Martial Art suitable for all ages, which focuses on deep breathing and relaxation techniques. A great way to reduce stress, improve mobility, balance and muscle strength, Tai Chai uses slow, gentle movements to improve your overall health and wellbeing.

Art

Discover your inner artist by joining our drawing class at The Arcadia, where you can sketch to your heart’s content. All levels are welcome, so why not relax, have fun and focus your mind under the guidance of our expert tutor.

Dance

A great way to relieve stress and loosen up, dance is a fun way to exercise and improve both physical and mental wellbeing. Dance is a full-body workout that helps you burn calories for fun. Why not try Zumba, or one of our other seasonal dance classes and get fit the easy way!
